Meet Arthur Tong
Arthur Tong is the founder and driving force behind Elevate Performance Coaching — a leader, mentor, and athlete whose journey blends technical expertise with deep human connection. As an IRONMAN Certified Coach and Certified Tactical Strength & Conditioning Coach, Arthur is more than a coach; he’s a trusted guide helping everyday athletes unlock extraordinary potential. His philosophy? Coaching isn’t just about crossing finish lines — it’s about creating meaningful, lasting transformation.
Grounded by Family, Driven by Purpose
At the heart of Arthur’s life is his family. He is a devoted husband to Elaine and a proud father to Haley and Logan. Whether cheering Elaine on at the finish line or chasing scooters in the park, Arthur embraces fatherhood with the same commitment he brings to his athletes. Parenthood has deepened his perspective, reminding him that true achievement is about presence, not just performance — a value that shapes the way he leads, lives, and coaches.
From Competitive Swimmer to Endurance Explorer
Arthur’s athletic journey began in the pool as a junior swimmer, but it didn’t stop there. Over the years, he’s tackled IRONMAN and OCEANMAN races across the globe, even earning qualification for the Oceanman World Championships. Recently, he’s embraced the challenge of Xterra off-road triathlon — a gritty combination of open water swimming, mountain biking, and trail running. This venture into rugged terrain has reignited his passion for growth, challenge, and joy in movement.
Project1000: Going the Distance for Others
Arthur’s commitment to the endurance world extends beyond personal racing. In Project1000, he supported friend Natalie Dau in a record-breaking 1,000 km run from Thailand to Singapore — acting as navigator, medic, coach, and constant presence. In Project1000 v2, he brought the same intensity and care to a second mission across the Philippines. These weren’t just physical undertakings — they were powerful expressions of loyalty, grit, and human connection.
Coaching with Empathy and Expertise
Arthur’s coaching specialty lies in developing adult age groupers, particularly in swim stroke analysis and performance strategy. But what truly sets him apart is his ability to lead with empathy. He meets each athlete where they are, celebrates their wins, and supports them through setbacks. His holistic approach builds confidence, not just capacity — helping athletes grow stronger both on and off the race course.
Championing Inclusion & Community
Arthur was Singapore’s first triathlon guide for an athlete with autism, paving the way for greater inclusion in multisport. Through Elevate, he leads open water charity swims, inclusive clinics, and initiatives for athletes with special needs. For Arthur, sport is more than competition — it’s a vehicle for connection, empowerment, and community.
A Voice That Uplifts
As a brand ambassador for Adidas, Garmin, Oakley, Met Helmet, The Bike Settlement, SmilesAsia, and WeAreReady, Arthur uses his platform to inspire and elevate others. He’s been featured in Run Magazine Singapore, ActiveSG, Yahoo! News, and more — yet recognition is never the goal. Arthur leads with integrity, driven by a desire to make endurance sport more accessible, meaningful, and inclusive for all.
