open water Swim squad
If you’re looking to build your open water swim confidence and competency, this is the session for you! We conduct our open water squad swims every 3rd Sunday of the month. Sessions are conducted by coach Arthur and supported by a lifeguard out at sea. The sessions aim to help swimmers/triathletes of all ability level prepare for multisport events and can be registered using existing swim squad packages. Training distances and routes are scaled; taking into account swimmer's ability level, OWS experience, buddy pairing experience, tide and weather conditions and phase of training.
Open water swimming is a source of anxiety for many athletes. Nothing beats gaining confidence in the ocean than some proper open water swim practice. Learn how to adapt both the length of your strokes and the frequency according to different conditions and situations, e.g. currents, waves, slipstreams or different sections of the swim course, is essential in becoming a better open water swimmer.
